So much fun! My first Fringe show this year, and potentially the most memorable. The plays were terrifically terrible and the audience was delightfully vindictive—as they should be! Interactive theater at it’s worst and best.
What I didn't like
Not a criticism, but there were a couple of close calls with the lights and projector! Might be a good idea to warn people sitting in the back to throw low.
My overall impression
“America First” was an absolute blast! I wasn’t sure what to expect with these monologues (“bad play,” after all, is subjective), but each monologue was it’s own special brand of bad, with moments that were cringe-worthy, infuriating, and outright hysterical. 25 cents per sock is totally worth it. Throwing socks during “Pride and Prejudice” was particularly cathartic.
