The humor! I did not expect so much humor in a cancer story. But it was so wonderful because that is how life really is – filled with humor even in hard times. Impressive that this actress/writer/survivor could bring that humor to light. I also liked the use of multimedia. That was really powerful. And I loved how vulnerable she was in the piece, she was private in public which made it a very moving experience. I did see tissues being exchanged in the audience.
What I didn't like
Nothing I didn’t like. This woman kicked cancers ass and created great art out of the whole experience – so cool.
My overall impression
GO! This is a heartfelt, humorous, and moving show. Offering you a very personal and important glimpse into a young woman’s life after being diagnosed with cancer. Great writing. Great Acting. It is the kind of art that matters. Highly recommend adding this Solo Show to your Fringe schedule!!
