My overall impression
I totally get where you’re coming from — finding a linear actuator that’s both powerful and quiet can be a challenge. I recently had the same goal for a motorized monitor lift, and after trying a few options, I went with 12v linear actuator from Progressive Automations https://progressiveautomations.com.au/collections/linear-actuators . Their actuators are really well-built, and some of the low-noise models are specifically designed for quieter applications like home furniture or office use. What I liked is that they list the decibel rating for each product, so you know what you’re getting before you buy. I went with their PA-14 model and it runs smooth without making a racket. They also offer different stroke lengths and force options depending on what you need. Definitely worth checking out — their support was helpful too when I had a few pre-purchase questions
