What I liked
I liked the structure of the piece. with its opening pantomime, variety in pacing, and range of emotions. There are some tense moments and sad ones, relieved by lots of laughter. A true “slice of life.” Great energy! Creative use of simple props.
What I didn't like
Can’t think of anything.
My overall impression
A courageous, honest sharing of life that vividly allows the audience to witness…and feel…the dreams and challenges of a young woman, revealing her vulnerabilities and her ultimate strength to be true to herself and follow her own path. In this short time, we learn so much about this person, her family and cultural background, loves, disappointments, and triumphs. It is never dull!
Kudos to Lesley for writing this excellent piece and performing it so well!
