The directness and the restraint of the performer, and her skill at portraying eight characters serving one story. Plus, the set served the story, and it looked cozy.
What I didn't like
The story of the plight of the four friends held captive in Bupapest shares the narrative with the story of meeting with four angels—and that’s great— if the story of the captives had more of a cliffhanger feel, might make it riveting. Or, it might screw it up, It’s already a good story, and a great performance!
My overall impression
If you are you are trying to get a handle on spirituality or our shared human history, this is a good show to see. In it, some very good, unlucky people must, for the sake of survival, persevere in their immediate harrowing reality. And yet they remain open to all that is possible in the universe.
