As an out gay man of a certain age I felt I knew a great deal about gay history…but I learned a few things on Sunday. David Labarron’s show was an interesting history lesson told with a lot of humor. Just on the history alone I’d recommend this play to many of my friends. The humor makes it that much more enjoyable.
What I didn't like
At the beginning I got a little confused between Mr. LaBarron’s narration directly to the audience and his character. I didn’t quite know what was going on. Then as the turning on and off the lights on the mirror signified this change I started to understand better.
My overall impression
Lovely afternoon of theatre and great to learn more about gay history in this booming time of drag.
