What I liked
I loved the acting. I was especially impressed with the actress who played the presenter of the Hologram. And the Mayor. I was impressed that he campaigned with audience members and he felt perfectly natural in the role.
What I didn't like
The character who wanted to shoot the Mayer, (Rachel?) was cool and calculating in the first half, but lost that quality in the last half – due to the writing. In the end she became too aggressive and I think that in real life the character would have been cold and subtle to the end.
My overall impression
I enjoyed “The Rising.” Yes, the story is a warning about the potential evil of social media. However, the last portion of the story wasn’t as sharply written as the first half.
