What I liked
Paper Flowers is imaginative, funny and unexpecting. The acting far exceeded my expectations of an independent production at a small venue at the Fringe Fest. The pacing of the play, set in motion by Daylin Tone’ direction, kept the audience involved and always anticipating what was “yet to come”.
What I didn't like
The only thing I didn’t like or that struck me as odd, was the mother, played by Keli Rowley, was always referred to as “mother in law” by her daughter in law, played by Micala Stone. I understand the concept of trying to show a lack of closeness, but I think the playwright would have been better served to just use the mother’s first name by the daughter in law. Minor detail to an otherwise great show!
My overall impression
I would recommend this to anyone interested in seeing a wonderful and refreshing theatrical experience.
