What I liked
There was a definitive “arc” in this piece: setup, crisis, climax, and a hilarious “payoff” at the end. She has a great instrument and talent for character acting, and the storyline was gripping! She brilliantly took a tragic story and found the humor it, giving us all permission to laugh with her… and we did!
What I didn't like
I would have liked less “two-person” re-enacted conversations. Occasionally, these got a bit head-spinning. But her ability to portray all of the people in her past was truly impressive! You will definitely laugh and cry by this piece. Beautiful!
My overall impression
Powerful! There were many surprises in this piece as the actor kept us on the edge wondering when we were going to gasp, laugh or cry. It was always one of those three, and we were never disappointed.
