What I liked
I liked the portrayal of John’s struggle with his own demons, learning to see that other people have their own struggles too, and learning to forgive himself and his parents for being human. Very well done. The music and songs complemented the story well. Delightful experience!
What I didn't like
Marty sang wonderfully but his spoken lines were often too fast and low volume. In the early scene the mother did not interact naturally with her son,zalmost as if she was not in the room. Needed to know and appreciate Jake more before losing him. Sometimes a little too much 12step jargon.

Stirring musical, grappling with life
