My overall impression
Brilliant! Mesmerizing! Superior! See this show! The script is refreshingly smart and unpredictable and effectively gives voice to so many important issues that need to be heard. The performances are both hilarious and heartbreaking. I most enjoyed Andrew Puente’s vulnerability. And Matthew Scott Montgomery may have a new #1 fan, I felt like I could watch him inhabit this role for days – his nuance, his specificity, his groundedness and his razor sharp timing were beautifully enthralling to witness. I could go on and on. I hope Dead Boys will extend and continue on past this year’s Fringe and I have a feeling it will. A very special and important piece of theatre.
