Matthew Scott Montgomery’s writing is just staggering. His acting is suburb. His direction amazing. The simple staging and lights, few props, minimal set, along with several scary, poignant sound cues gave this one-act all the production it needed. Andrew Puente was strong as well, just destroying the final ten minutes of heart-breaking confession. I must praise the spectacular dialogue. Montgomery writes like people speak. Messy. Almost seemed AD-LIB, yet I knew it wasn’t. A gift! The play was hysterical one moment, then would take a turn that left you breathless, overwhelmed with emotion and sometimes fear.
