The dynamic between the girls in the ABC’s was fantastic, excellent comic timing, genuine chemistry, great styling in costumes, simple set up with direction that pulled it all together and made everything so clear on stage, that you could imagine the bedroom and the spaces completely.
I particularly enjoyed the ABC trio, especially Josette Canilao, who’s on point delivery and timing made me giggle almost every time she opened her mouth.
What I didn't like
There was a lot of people who came late and slightly disrupted the interaction between the “narrator/friend/audience communicator” and just the feeling of being immersed into the world. I get it, it’s LA, and it’s fringe. But it was a bit of a bummer.
TRY TO BE ON TIMEFOLKS! :)
My overall impression
The ABC’s was a hilarious ensemble piece written by the brilliant Monica Trausch, all female, all strong, all laughs. Very relevant, a story and way of telling it that I wish every teenager and high schooler of this generation could see.n
