What I liked

This didn’t feel like a one man show. The actor portrayed many characters, some we know, some from his personal life, but each one felt alive and distinct from the others. The show’s message about both the struggle for LGBTQ rights in the 80s and the AIDS epidemic mirrored the performer’s personal life within the modern LGBTQ community. This dichotomy provided a thought provoking narrative about how far we’ve come and why it is important to turn around and acknowledge those who fought before us.

What I didn't like

My overall impression

This show is more timely than ever. As an audience member, I learned a lot about the history of the queer community in Hollywood but I also understood more than I ever have about the modern struggle, sometimes trivial, sometimes not, of men in the LGBTQ community.
