About the Project
Conversations Before Curtain:
Two friends are sitting in a theatre. They are catching up, talking about everything and nothing before the movie even starts. There is basically no one in the audience. They’ve been so busy in their perspective lives that they haven’t had time to see their newest fave film (that’s been out for over a month already), let alone have time to talk.
They are guys. There is something about not having to look each other in the eye while you talk, that allows boys to open up. Driving, watching movies, etc.
The conversation goes from casual, happy go lucky and funny (hearing shushes from the audience even even during movie trivia), to more serious and heartfelt. Discussing the challenges they face individually:
Life.
Love.
Lonlieness.
Finances.
Fiancées.
Maintaining your identity in a world that is constantly changing.
“Conversations before Curtain” is a slice of life of two modern friends trying to connect to each other, with what little time they have.
Truth happens in times like these. In the ‘in between’ moments… between the seating and the show.
