Brenda Varda’s Nine Dresses captured the feminine condition to me in stirring music and a concise well story-arced hour. I enjoyed the fanciful songs, the emphasis on fashion and all the things a dress can mean and be. I was thoroughly entertained & smiling the whole time.
What I didn't like
I noticed Brenda was missing her piano player tonight but was super-impressed by how she seamlessly played all the parts herself and carried the show so well my boyfriend didn’t even notice the omission.
My overall impression
Funny, human, fashionable, real, and tremendously entertaining. I could watch Brenda for hours. So glad I was able to get in to see this.
