What I liked
Thoroughly enjoyed Nine Dresses by Brenda Varda. The humor mixed well with undertones of gender issues, fashion conflicts, and questioning one’s self esteem, and all blended in well for a frisky romp and lovely performance. The songs and reparte were spot on, and the show moved smoothly through each of the nine dresses. Brenda has a great presence, a killer set of gams, and the right tone to bring off the show with barbs and guffaws. Loved the show and would recommend it to anyone.
What I didn't like
The first performance was a first run-thru with a live audience and there were some nerves along the way, quickly covered over and not in the way of the overall pacing. I am sure as she runs the show it will get smoother and smoother.
My overall impression
I look forward to seeing it again after she has run it a few times.
