What I liked

This piece is hilarious. I’m sure we’ve all stumbled across enough LA solo show self-indulgence for a lifetime, and this show buffoons all its landmarks with laugh-out-loud songs and a fully-committed, huge performance. Rebecca was pitch perfect as Beryl from the moment she entered the space. Her interactions with the crowd, her tech guy and Richard the accompanist and composer were just priceless. (Special shoutouts for her supporting cast— Richard’s straight man, with deadpan, real-life reactions and commentary made the absurdity of Beryl all the more hilarious.)

What I didn't like

My overall impression

A wonderfully entertaining way to spend 50 minutes and perfect send up of the genre! It was pretty much delightfully silly, and the perfect under-hour length with zero fat. Find the way to fit this little puzzle piece of a show into the matrix of your Fringe viewing and you’ll be glad you did!
