What I liked
I thought this show was just wonderful. I didn’t know what to expect going in, and I was very much impressed by the effortless way in which Steve was able to go back and forth between characters, and take this beyond a sort of extended “one joke” premise and turn it into something that was ultimately rather moving. Really well written.
What I didn't like
I really enjoyed the piece overall, but I suppose my only criticism would be that there were some moments when he didn’t quite seem to nail the somewhat goofy, hyper and over eager boyish quality that I’ve always associated with Tony Danza, and his Danza came off more as an old school “Rat Pack” kind of character. On the other hand, Steve’s portrayal might be more accurate than I’m assuming, as I haven’t actually seen Tony Danza in many years.
My overall impression
I thought Steve’s show was great!
