What I liked
In Naomi’s piece I really loved the dialogue between her mother and father… All the individual characters really stood out to me and she did a great job transitioning between them. I loved seeing the evolution of the butterfly and the clever way she ended it with Madam Butterlfy giving a nod to Naomi! It was the perfect evolution.
In Bebe’s piece my favorite characters were all the different cats (I thought it was so clever) and I really loved her alter ego that wanted to kick some old man ass. I wanted to give her a hug when Fred died :(
In Channon’s piece she did a great job being so relatable and making you feel like you were just one of her best friends whom was listening to her tell some stories. She seemed so comfortable on stage and the flow from character to character was seamless!
What I didn't like
Honestly… you all nailed it!! Thats why everyone should have the privilege of hearing your stories!
My overall impression
These three women were all amazing in their solo performances. Each hit a different tone that either made you laugh, feel joy, or relate. This was a killer way to express 3 different journeys and inspire individuals to love themselves. Go see it!! It will give you all the feel-goods!
