Review by ELLEN KITCHEL

What I liked

I enjoyed The Collection, But I was really amazed by the Anniversary by Rachel Bonds. The actors handled the emotional rollercoaster with ease, showing all the nuances that go into grief from the inside and the outside. I absolutely loved that even in the darkened theater, when a scene was changing, the actors moved the props around in a way that added to the story. There was no down time, or dead space. It was engaging from the first second until the end.

What I didn't like

I liked it all. There was just one time when the actress was quiet for the music that was playing and hard to hear, but it was also an effective way to show that she was withdrawing into herself in her grief

My overall impression

Excellently directed and acted show that explores grief from the inside and outside. Not one second was wasted. It was moving to watch.
