What I liked

If you’re not up to date on the history of Punch & Judy, don’t worry. All you need to know is that there is violence galore taken to absurd degrees. To call it cartoon violence would be far too mild. But, it is choreographed beautifully and highly stylized. Jimmy Slonina as Punch is the walking personification of unbridled Id and both this world and the next only exist to satisfy his desires. As a performer Slonina expertly milks each gag to the fullest riding each wave as expertly as a professional surfer. And, the razor sharp ensemble is there to match him at a every turn. Each slap, slug, kick, and frying pan to the skull is expertly punctuated by live foley/percussionist Ryan Beveridge.

What I didn't like

I don’t know that there’s much that could be done to improve the show.

My overall impression

“Mindless violence” was not invented by movies or video games but goes back thousands of years. And never was it more entertaining than in this Punch & Judy show.
