What I liked

Michaela Myers took topics that are difficult to deal with — wanting to die and clinical depression and anxiety — and made them accessible to a wide audience in her one woman show. The show engaged the audience on multiple levels, sometimes heart wrenching, but also mostly finding humor even in her characters’ darkest places. In her strongest piece, she has the audience both crying and laughing out loud. She also successfully incorporates improv into her show, during which she develops characters at a highly detailed level, and as she gets more detailed the more hilarious the character and situation becomes. Miss Myers showcases her skills through her variety of characters, some of which are hysterical and ridiculous, some of which pull you into the show and into the subject matter on a real level, allowing you to confront these difficult issues in an accessible and digestible way.

What I didn't like

My overall impression

The show is uplifting, poetic, constantly engaging, and there is never a dull or boring moment. The writing and character development are excellent. You will not be disappointed by this show.
