I highly recommend this show! I was not aware of the real life events Strap-On portrays, but the timing couldn’t be more relevant to present issues of gender fluidity, consent & identity. The writing is fresh, and the provocative story (involving a woman who “commits” gender fraud with a prosthetic appendage) is told with surprising humor and sweetness.
What I didn't like
There was not much do dislike about this. I’m excited to see where Proboscis Theatre Company takes this show and I agree that this show deserves a bigger audience.
My overall impression
This was a bold piece, so to speak. I really applaud all efforts from the staging, the acting, even the music choices!
