The characters were clear and precise and spot on. I loved the songs, they were funny and made sense to the through-line of the story. Costuming, was connected to the characters, and the overall look of the piece. The book was whitty, nerdy, smart, funny and warm. The lyrics, seemed to be in tune with the rest of the show.
What I didn't like
I never will understand why the musicians need to be heard over the words of the songs by the actors out front. I know it would have probably pushed the budget through the roof to get pics, but the instruments do have a volume button.
Also be aware of the flashlight which could leave audience members blinded, and may cause seizures.
My overall impression
Thug Tunnel, is brilliant, smart, funny, nerdy and ahead of its time and I want to see this show become a success outside of HFF16 because it has that kind of potential. This is a must see.
