No longer able to stomach his career as an accountant, a former writer gives away everything and retreats to his childhood home in rural Georgia. Accompanied by his Ukranian political refugee dog, he confronts the father who he does not get along with as well as the ghosts and hurts of the past that keep him from embracing his creative side all while living in the backwoods town he hated as a youth.
