Incredible writing, amazing acting, unusual and very intriguing subject!
What I didn't like
There was one very rude audience member on opening night—some people need to remember their theatre etiquette!
My overall impression
I enjoy theatre that either moves me, makes me laugh, or teaches me something — Sticky Fingers does all of this and more. Writer Terry Anne Holtzman brings heart and her comedic genius to a challenging and difficult subject, “shoplifting” the audience into feeling empathy for characters whose proclivity for stealing stems from many emotional places. The acting was highly professional for a small theatre venue, and they made each character likeable despite their actions. I left the theatre with more understanding about people who “grab and go.” Grab yourself a ticket and go to this amazing show! I wouldn’t be surprised if Broadway comes calling for an expanded version. Don’t miss it.
