What I liked

The acting and music was phenomenal! The entire story really rang true to the movie and did justice to the experience of being a Troll 2 fan. I can’t thank the creators enough for the hard work they put into creating such a loving tribute. The music is really simple (and freaking catchy) while the lyrics are incredibly strong! PLEASE consider releasing a cast album on iTunes!!!

What I didn't like

In the first few numbers, the music was too loud and it was difficult to hear the actors when they were singing solos, but eventually, the levels were corrected and the rest of the show was fine. The scenes with flashing lights were so bright they were almost seizure-inducing.

My overall impression

As a six-year fan of the movie TROLL 2, I was really hoping that NILBOG would do the movie justice… IT DID MORE!!! If you love TROLL 2, or if you’ve never seen it before, it doesn’t matter! The actors were having a blast on stage and how could they not? The music was phenomenal, I was singing “I’m a Troll 2 fan, and I don’t care…” long after I left the theater. The actors were all phenomenal, and they successfully maintained the spirit of the actors from the film while bringing their own characterization to the stage. They all did phenomenal work. When Robert Towers said his first line as the Store Clerk, it truly felt like the original character was standing there on the stage! Whoever thought of making Stonehenge Sacred Stone into a living character is a damn genius. It was freaking weird, but SOOOOO much fun! I really can’t say enough good things about NILBOG. It’s the best Fringe show I’ve seen since POKEMON THE MUSICAL!!
