Live From the Grave: It's John Belushi

What I liked

Jack did a great job on bringing a stylized Belushi to life on stage without trying to be a impressionist. He captured the moment without effort. As evidence from the original John Baluchi clips, the character portrayal was on spot. The music was excellent with very talented musicians. The through-back clips were most appropriate.

What I didn't like

The supporting cast was a bit weak. The did have moments. Judy was exceptionally weak as she was a very important enabler in John’s life, but she was played as some casual short-term relationship.

My overall impression

A great through-back to the golden age of improve and early wacky NBC TV shtick. A good was to while away a Sunday afternoon with old friends from my SNL watching days. Most of the bits were funnier than most of the stuff on SNL today.
