What I liked
The costumes were stunning, and there were some good performances. Vocally, Kaitlyn Fajilan, Leroy Mobley, and Yanna Fabian stand out. And, I applaud the acting choices made by Kaitlyn Fajilan, RJ Castaneda, and Ross Neuenfeldt. I would have liked to see more of RJ Castaneda and Ross Neuenfeldt, especially. I also appreciate the multi-racial cast.
What I didn't like
The show needs revision. There are gags that do not work or go on for too long. I think the show could be cut by at least 20 minutes, and it would be stronger. Some songs and plot points need to be refined to make character arcs clearer.
As far as this production, pacing could have been much faster. Also, there needs to be a set of some kind. I know Fringe is fast paced and panicked, but a couple of chairs, especially for the talk show scenes would give actors a place to ground them.
My overall impression
I think this concept is really fun, and can be a really cool show. Overall, the cast is strong, but the show needs revision, and an outside eye to fix issues.
