This has been the greatest surprise of the Fringe Festival for me. The cast tackles the material with ferocity. It is not easy stuff, either. This show digs deep into racial politics, romantic fumblings of a new relationship and the affect family ties can have on our daily lives. For me, the highlight of the play are the scenes involving an incident involving, well… shit … which nearly destroys an entire relationship and, in fact, an entire community. In watching the lengths these characters will go to protect their dignity and pride… at the risk of destroying the most precious things around them… you may find yourself gasping at the choices made and the ramifications they have.
What I didn't like
Ambition is a great thing. But, the ending left a few audience members scratching their heads, but still worth the ride!!!
My overall impression
This is a wild comedy tackling huge issues with a wonderful cast. Nothing is off limits here, so buckle up and enjoy the surprises.
