I was absolutely blown away by complex[ion] woman. Tasha Henderson and Ebony Gilbert have created a show that is bold, poignant, heartbreaking, and thought-provoking, while still managing to be entertaining and uplifting at the same time.
What I didn't like
My overall impression
Though the writers are speaking from a deeply personal, specific outlook, I found the themes of fighting for respect, dignity, and equality to be universally relatable, no matter your gender or ethnicity. I cannot recommend this play highly enough, and I applaud Tasha and Ebony for creating a truly captivating show that made me laugh, think, and feel from lights up to lights down.
