Deana Barone plays the part of “Aba” her father and “Ima” her mother so well…. I felt like I knew them….her child self is playful and beautiful …. she is such a talented actress….. I loved how she engaged the audience and made us a part of her show and her life story…. She tells the tale of her childhood and growing up in a religious Israeli family… I was captivated throughout the whole performance ….. Brilliant indeed……
What I didn't like
…… The late lady who could not find her chair because it was too dark…. lol…..
My overall impression
Love Love Loved it!!!!!!
If you have immigrant parents like I do…. this is a must see! I could totally relate… even though mine are Italian…. Immigrant religious parents of all genres have similar characteristics…. I felt like I had a soul sista…. A beautiful solo show… the best I’ve seen at the Hollywood Fringe Fest!! She needs to win Best Solo performance!
