The history and sexual affairs of Peggy Hopkins Joyce, a real person in the Roaring Twenties.
What I didn't like
Script sometimes became a tedious word play of encyclopedic historical detail that is dizzying. All very interesting to hear, but makes poor theatre with little dramatic arc.
My overall impression
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes as the free-spirited gold digger Peggy Hopkins Joyce runs through her men like her jewelry (or are they the same?). More a fact-filled history lesson and paint-by-numbers comic sex primer than a play, it is fascinating to hear, but not at full price!
