Interesting to hear about the life of a character actor that I have seen for 50 plus years. He was funny, when I could hear him.
What I didn't like
Why didn’t he have a microphone? I was sitting in the second row, and I missed many punch lines. He spoke softly, except when he started a story. When he got to the punch line, his voice dropped dramatically – I was on the edge of my seat, straining to hear. You would think a professional stage actor would know how to project, or at least wear a microphone! And he didn’t know all his lines – needed prompting many times during the show.
My overall impression
What good is it to try to hear a talented professional that I have admired for many years, when he doesn’t cooperate or is not fully prepared? I was disappointed.
