What I liked

Each scene transported me to an incredibly rich place in time. It’s not easy to feel you’re that girl, part of that story. But that’s how Girls Together Always feels. Like a slice of growing up in someone else’s body – if only we could keep her razor-sharp observations, humor and grit! If you like The Moth, you’ll really like this show.

What I didn't like

Some inconsistencies in the matching of actors with their scenes and the voice. But the material is so strong.

My overall impression

What an incredible voice booming through this piece! It’s like a fierce coming of age, time traveling tapestry with one badass woman at the center. But make no mistake – this is no chick flick imposter. It’s a really impactful collection of stand-alone points in time in this person’s life that make you want to know more, to know her, to be able to grab just a bit of her spark and moxie. A really impressive debut from a unique and bombastic voice. More, please!
