What I liked

Wow! Superb cast, great music and lyrics, and laugh-out-loud comedic moments insure that TOXIC AVENGER will be extended during the Fringe encore. Kudos to the complete cast and band, including Shirley Anne Hatton who portrayed the mayor, the mother of the Toxic Avenger, and a nun. She brought the house down when she played both the mayor and the TA’s ma simultaneously…on stage! Jared Reed as the Toxic Avenger and his alter ego, Melvin Ferd the Third, was excellent; Kim Dalton, the blind girl and TA’s love interest, induced constant belly laughs from the audience with her over-the top performance. Danny Fetter (Black Dude) and his accomplice Wesley Tunison nearly stole the show as they played all the supporting roles from gay hair dressers to bullies. Even the long-suffering, put-upon prop girl (Emma Hatton?) contributed to a fun-filled performance.
