What I liked

Jack Fry is a highly watchable and entertaining performer. He occasionally engages audience members, with cookies at one point, and keeps the show going with his performance of not only Albert Einstein but also of Einstein’s son, a few rival scientists, and other people from the life of Einstein. As a playwright, Fry has made a compelling choice by selecting the moment in Einstein’s life just before he become the world’s first superstar scientist, a time when Einstein was dealing with a divorce, his own failed attempts at fatherhood, anti-Semitism, a world war, and doubts about his theory of relativity, which he knew would someday change the world.

What I didn't like

Fry’s German accent wasn’t quite on the mark.

My overall impression

This is an entertaining and thought-provoking show. It makes the icon of Einstein a human being with lovable flaws. The necessary explanations of the science go by quickly with appealing animated sequences, and a slide show enhances Fry’s performance.
