What I liked

Both Maddie Moen and Porsche James did beautiful jobs with their monologues and from that moment on, the play settled into its own. The set was very effective and the imagery of these two women stripping down, literally, to their raw selves was moving.

What I didn't like

The background music was anything but. Too loud and sentimental which these two women never were. The only time it stopped was when the action stopped which seemed backwards.

My overall impression

A beautiful exploration of self worth and survival. Is believing in ourselves enough? Maddie Moen’s staccato quirks played against Porsche James’ languid delivery wonderfully. This play reminds us that we do matter and with the simplest of effort, we can effect each others lives whether we realize it or not.
