What I liked

At its core, monopoly go retains the strategic property acquisition and wealth-building foundations that make the original Monopoly so enduring. Players will still race around the board, purchasing valuable properties, collecting rent from opponents, and seeking to become the dominant mogul. However, the digital transformation injects a new level of dynamism and interactivity into the experience.

What I didn't like

The most transformative aspect of Monopoly Go is its location-based gameplay. Rather than a static board, the game world is mapped directly onto the player’s actual geographic surroundings. Properties are tied to real-world locations, from city streets and landmarks to popular businesses and community hubs. As players move through the physical world, their in-game tokens move accordingly, opening up new investment opportunities based on their real-time position.

My overall impression

Monopoly, the iconic real estate trading game that has captivated players for generations, is embarking on a new digital adventure with the launch of Monopoly Go. This innovative take on the beloved classic blends the timeless mechanics of Monopoly with cutting-edge mobile technology, delivering an immersive gameplay experience that seamlessly integrates with the real world around you.
