What I liked

The easy highlight of the show is the honest and all-around excellent performance from Katelyn Schiller, who manages to be all at once vulnerable, pointed and prickly, cute and clever, a study in curious seeming contradictions that are, really, just the sort of genuinely human traits that every person carries in them. To manage to pack all of that into an hour onstage, however, is a truly impressive feat. Of course, this also speaks to the strength of the direction by Payden Ackerman, who also manages to keep the show running along at a smooth clip and create an interesting, borderline clinical environment where we’re comfortable dissecting the interactions between this woman and her various suitors. Finally, the script by Carla Neuss is incredibly intimate, bold, fearless, all the words that describe drawing from the unexpected aspects of your own life and putting them on display in front of strangers. Excellent work, and I’m excited to see more from her in the future.

What I didn't like

“Didn’t like” might be a little off in this aspect: the other half of the show, Josh Bross, carries the thankless task of performing 12 different suitors and, frankly, at the beginning of the show I thought several of them tended to blend together. However, once the show got into it’s real stride, the characters became much more clear and delineated. If anything, his ability to fight through and create clear and interesting seperations between the many characters speaks to his promise and dedication as a performer.

My overall impression

A great show that deserves to be seen by as many as possible during it’s run, which it’s sold-out status through the rest of its run indicates uite clearly.
