What I liked

Jen Tries Vacation: The actor playing Reefer had a powerful stage presence.
Locomotive: Emily McLead was wonderful as Irina

What I didn't like

I found Jen Tries A Vacation to be a superficial and dated response to a complex issue. Maybe in the 80’s yuppies were making bank and discovering/usurping undervalued neighborhoods and displacing minorities in urban cities but in today’s world – so many people are underpaid, underemployed, out-of-work, struggling to live in cities that I just don’t think this piece speaks to the current socio-economic environment. It’s no longer blacks and minorities being taken advantage of by white privilege, it’s a new economy: everyone is hurting. And I don’t buy the actors as ‘hipsters’ at all.
