What I liked
LOVED the convention of addressing the audience as if we were the captured couple. Such a cool, creative convention that was used so well. A lot of great storytelling was utilized around that conceit.
Writing is fast paced and brooding and aggressive and crazy and nonstop.
Michael Shaw Fisher is so grounded and fascinating to watch all the time it makes me sick. Never seen the other guy’s work before but he was doing really good work too.
What I didn't like
hmmmm ummmmmm I think I perhaps expected a more explosive ending/climax? That being said; the final, haunting image is still burned beautifully into my brain.
My overall impression
The show’s wildness is like deliberately jumping out of a plane without a parachute just for the adrenaline rush. Two rock star performances slamming against each other in a way that makes the audience feel just as vulnerable as the actors. (In a good, edge-of-your-seat-creepy way, not in a oh-my-God-make-it-stop kind of way.)
