Poorly projected Images which couldn’t be clearly seen
My overall impression
Thanks to my Fringe scheduling I saw Nick Paul the first thing AFTER I’d been mesmerized by the slick, sophisticated Simon Coronel (and enjoyed an early eve Grub dinner). Nick works exactly the opposite of Simon, relying on (virtually) NO dialogue, although he too interacts, mainly in mime, with his audience. Magic Junkies will be enthusiastic, but the one thing that worked against Nick’s show was the projected images, which landed on rippling curtains and were mostly indecipherable! Were they germaine to what he was doing? I’ll never know!
