Like I said before, it seemed like two distinct parts. The “Wheel of Invention” and the limits of technology would make for a fantastic one-hour musical in my opinion. Another whole hour could be devoted to the macabre sights of a “Disneygone bad” (replete with alligators that prey on children, of course). That last portion isn’t meant to be geometry dash game cruel or hurtful; rather, it is necessary in order to reveal the shadowy side of “The Happiest Place on Earth.”
What I didn't like
It never becomes a sermon since writer/director Beck envelops his message in such a colorful covering; nonetheless, he does have some incisive things to say about class struggles, authority, and society in general. The short running time of an hour ensures that it does not overstay its welcome.
My overall impression
An entertainingly offbeat, throwback tour of a Disneyland-style attraction (namely Tomorrowland) that combines sketch comedy with a theme park ride is The Wheel of Invention.
