What I liked

Prince’s Charming is in spirit and execution exactly what the current generation of young artists should look at as an example of how high the bar can be placed if time, soul and an ungodly amount of precise yet apparently effortless effort, and by that I mean the actors seamlessly accomplish the intentions of the script at each possible beat.
The writing is creative and unexpected at every turn, it breaks it’s own rules and then proceeds to prove that the rules are as much a conversation between audience and show as the literal conversations that several characters in the show have with the audience, conversations that, throughout, become both as honest and connected to the audience’s thoughts and emotions as the show itself. Which brings us to the heart of why this show works so well: It’s honest, and it knows what we want to see before we admit we want to see it, the fact of which only hits one after the fact, in rumination about the flurry of action that goes so fast during that one doesn’t have time to think about what’s happening, only embrace it and be enveloped in it’s meticulously planned insanity
What to say about the actors except that’s is as if at every rehearsal each was told that old cliché, to be “Louder, faster, funnier”, and each took the note every day. The commitment to character displayed is literally jaw-droping, and their connection to each other is as finely tuned as any Tony or Ovation winning show, and it’s this commitment to this world of farce and extreme emotions, from the leads to the background players who you can’t help but watching also, that makes the play such a delight to bask in.
If you want to be entertained, educated, and eventually enthralled, come see The Prince’s Charming with your hearts, minds and eyes open so they can make you feel, think and see not only what you didn’t know you’ve been missing, but what you didn’t know modern art on a budget was capable of.

What I didn't like

I’ve got nothing, honestly.

My overall impression

If you want to be entertained, educated, and eventually enthralled, come see The Prince’s Charming with your hearts, minds and eyes open so they can make you feel, think and see not only what you didn’t know you’ve been missing, but what you didn’t know modern art on a budget was capable of.
