What I liked
PHENOMENAL, WONDERFUL, DELIGHTFUL. From beginning to end this show is jam packed with precise, tight, well executed comedy performed by a professional, outstanding ensemble. This is, quite honestly, one of the BEST, cleanest comedies I’ve ever seen performed. The comedy is clear, varied, and modern, the cast is enchanting and charming (of course!), and the production as a whole demonstrates a cohesiveness that leaves the audience utterly enraptured by the stunningly well orchestrated show. Frankly, I wish I’d written/been in this show: I kept wondering where they’d found this gem…
GO. SEE. IT.
P.S. For me, Bree Pavey’s performance as the minstrel was absolutely the stand out of the show- her control, the grace and poise with which she lead the audience through the show (and executed the pratt falls and physical comedy, as well!), and the rich, fantastic character she’s created, deserve the highest commendation. Though, again- she’s standing only a little taller than the rest, in this cast of artistic/comedic giants.
What I didn't like
That it ended- I’m going to have to see it again to remedy the problem. And again, and again, and again.
My overall impression
I’m over the moon about this show- it’s a pleasure and a treat to watch; GO SEE IT!
