What I liked

Where to begin…this show exceeded my expectations beyond anything I could have imagined. Gilda was a light that lit up a room, full of energy and humor. How can anyone try to recreate that and succeed? Well ask the person who attempted to do just that, Helena Cosentino, because she did wonderfully.

This show, and Helena herself, captures the spirit that was everything Gilda. From her amazingly, revolutionary, original characters, to her insecure side…she had everything. I really felt Gilda’s spirit in this show.

On the technical side, the show hits it out of the park as well. With the musical numbers, and images/recording of the actual people who were lucky enough to have known Gilda; it all fits perfectly. I really felt that I had a rare opportunity to watch the legend of Gilda Radner performing in front of my eyes.

What I didn't like

That I only got to see it once.

My overall impression

Whether you are a fan of SNL, comedy in general, or know anyone who has had to deal with the misfortune of cancer, this show will speak to you. You leave with Gilda’s message of living life to its fullest in your heart, all while getting both laughs and tears throughout this telling of the life and career of Mrs. Gilda Radner-Wilder.

Thank you Helena, for all your hard work.
