My overall impression
Caught the 6pm Friday show, and it was absolute mad genius brilliant – one of my favorite things i’ve seen at the HFF.
If i hadn’t had to go to a friend’s show at 11:30, i’d have gone back to see it again at midnight! The writing and performances were smart, funny, and delightful. And the star/writer/director i’d love to watch in anything.
Though i did not for a minute believe that they were actually covering for an ailing actor, all the bits about it were so spot on (sock and all)… but apparently they WERE?
What?!?!
If you can see this in its final performance, GO!
