I loved this show on so many levels! It was funny, relevant and has a point. Written and performed at such a elevated level, I felt Like I robbed the theater for what they charged me for admission. See this show before it goes away. The powerful messages I took away have stuck with me well after seeing it a week ago.... full review

Everyone in the theater related on many levels to Maybeland's comedic and somber moments-great writing -great acting. The story candidly examines complicated relationships that make up family dynamics-shared experiences,laughter,angst, fragility and resilency. At times I laughed out loud and at times I was in tears. The range and strength of emotions exhibited by the actors and the chemistry between them touched my heart. The comments and reactions of the audience indicated they also were moved by the experience. I left the theater moved, and a week later I am still reflecting.... full review

I thoroughly enjoyed Maybeland. This play is written well and has a very good cast that truly breathes life into the story. I laughed a lot, and was also saddened at times. It was very interesting to watch how various situations affected outcomes further on down the road. The individuals within the family were portrayed by the actors in such a way as to really pull one into the story. What's going to happen next? The Overseer was a character in the play that largely took away choice. What would happen if each of the family members actually had free will? It was fascinating to me to see how decisions, or lack of them, can lead to unwanted pregnancy, alcoholism, divorce, higher education, success and premature death.
